Invest in Cumbria Limited was established 10 years ago and is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cumbria County Council. It is our role to:
- promote a positive image for Cumbria as a business location
- complement the work of other economic development
- undertake an aftercare programme among large business already located in Cumbria
Ginny Murphy, our Research Manager, supports the Investor Development Team through the provision of accurate, timely and appropriate data on a wide range of issues. She also supports partner organisations, businesses and individuals by responding to requests for information and intelligence and provision of research expertise on joint projects.
As part of her role, she shares with Dan Bloomer (Cumbria County Council) administration of the Cumbria Economic Intelligence Partnership (CEIP) as well as producing monthly unemployment briefings and co-writing the biannual Cumbria Economic Bulletin with CRED and the County Council.
