West Cumbria Strategic Co-ordination Unit
The Partnership is what is known as a 'local strategic partnership' or LSP. It is not an organisation, structure, board or executive committee, but a way of working among a network of community, voluntary, private and public organisations to improve the social, economic and environmental well being of the area.
Each organisation engaging in the Partnership retains its own autonomy. There are no command and control centres issuing executive orders. But organisations will work together because doing so helps them achieve their own objectives, within the greater whole. Partnership is a way of working rather than an organisation.
Steve Hill, Performance Officer - responsibilities
Co-ordinating performance monitoring for the Partnership; setting up and maintaining systems and communication routes to ensure that performance data is available regularly to the Partnership Board; providing advice and guidance to service delivery bodies on the use of performance indicators, target setting, and performance monitoring arrangements; coordinating the collation of information on Service Delivery for the Partnership's Performance Framework.
