Climate Change Communication and Engagement Projects

The Climate Change Task Group has been able to fund a series of small projects with support from the Northwest Development Agency. Projects have been chosen on account of their ability to deliver measurable reductions in CO2 emissions, to build capacity and experience and / or to enable the public, businesses and communities to take practical steps to tackle climate change. The Task Group recognises that a wealth of information and advice on climate change is available nationally. For this reason, projects were also chosen which demonstrate clear links to 'Cumbrian specific' opportunities, whether this be local installers of insulation, directories of local wood suppliers, local business support networks or on the availability of local public transport.  The fund is now closed to new proposals.   Information on successful projects can be found by emailing the Climate Change Officer at phil.r.davies@cumbriacc.gov.ukor calling him on 01228 221032.
