Equality for All Consultation
Equality for All  is Cumbria County Council's draft Equality Scheme. The document sets out:
 
  • The Council's plans for addressing Equality and Diversity for 2009-12.
  • Key challenges and opportunities in creating and equal and inclusive society in Cumbria.
  • Findings from the work the Council has done to date on addressing equality. 
  • Three year action plan for the Council to achieve Excellence against the Equality Framework for Local Government.   
 
The draft version of Equality for All is out for consultation until 13 July 2009. We would welcome your feedback and produced a short questionnaire with an Executive Summary which we will use to gather feedback before taking Equality for All  to Cabinet. (both documents can be found at the links below).
 
The Scheme will be due to go live in September.

Regional Strategy - Principles and Issues Consultation

The consultation period on the Principles and Issues Paper will last 12 weeks to the end of April 2009- the consultation is now closed. 

The Principles and Issues paper outlines some of the major underlying considerations for the Regional Strategy and identifies the major issues to be considered in developing the strategy, drawing on an independent assessment of the issues and challenges facing the region from the evidence base to date and the national and regional policy context. The Principles and Issues paper has been published to stimulate a wide ranging discussion in the region about the issues which will underpin RS2010.
